Yesterday, a usual Wednesday turned into one of the most special days in our journey. After a month long process of selection rounds, Streamhub won UK`s top TV innovation award securing the coveted opportunity to represent DTG at this year`s IBC. The finale took place at the DTG offices in Vauxhall overlooking the Thames and overlooked by the offices of the heart of British intelligence. With a high intensity demo, dragons` den pitching and series of judges questioning all packed in three hours, the finale was only befitting to the high standards of innovation that DTG warrants.

Along with further acknowledgement of the UK TV industry`s belief in big data, the awards also gave us some highly valuable feedback from the judging panel comprised of the top minds of the industry including: Matthew Gream (YouTube), Hannah Blake (BBC Worldwide Labs), Simon Gauntlett (DTG), Jerry Teahan (UKTI), David Wood (Televisual Magazine) and Steve Beck (Sony Europe).

An absolutely great experience overall courtesy Richard Lindsay-Davies (CEO, DTG) and his team and the encouragement of the wonderful TV industry audience assembled at the event. A special shout out to our high calibre fellow winners Grabyo, Chirp and CrowdEmotion and all the other rising ventures that we met in this journey. To succeeding together.

Few days of partying and then preparations begin for taking the big data bandwagon to Amsterdam and represent DTG and UK innovation at the global media melting pot of IBC. Amsterdam beckons.
