Streamhub’s multi-channel, multi-device content consumption analytics service gives broadcasters the complete picture.
Streamhub was presented with a special commendation and second place at the MIPCube Labs event currently being held in Cannes, France. Streamhub were singled out as the best B2B company presenting, but lost out to Steve.com for overall first place.
MIPCube is the annual community hub event at the heart of MIPTV, the world’s pre-eminent market and creative forum for multi-screen content. The event showcases companies that are at the forefront of developing solutions and new technologies for the media industry.
The MIPCube Lab competition showcases start-ups that are re-inventing business models, adding services, or enhancing the content value. A judging panel of industry experts from organisations such as BSkyB, Illuminate Ventures and Jaïna Capital deemed Streamhub’s real-time analytics service to be the most potentially revolutionary from a shortlist of ten firms.
Streamhub provides a visual real time analytics service that delivers new cross platform intelligence for broadcasters to unlock new revenue and increase competitiveness. Streamhub pools a huge amount of data from a variety of sources in a way that makes it easier to make good decisions about scheduling, advertising, marketing and programming. StreamHub is unique in that rather than relying solely on traditional audience measures, it analyses all sources across offline, online, social and external factors, providing actionable data in a convenient and user-friendly real-time interface.
Aki Tsuchiya, founder and Managing Director, who created the StreamHub platform to address his own experiences working at MTV in Japan said, “We are delighted to have received a special commendation in a really competitive MIPCube competition this year. There’s a huge gap the broadcast industry needs to close in knowing how to process data, visualise it„ extract value from it and communicate it. We believe that Streamhub is uniquely positioned to help deliver this expertise and competitive advantage to the industry, and this award is testament to the potential of our service.”
Oliver Ezratty Innovation Strategy Consultant and a member of the judging panel for the MIPCube Labs competition said, “Streamhub offers a simple solution for media companies to use real time data to optimise performance across their many departments. We liked the easy integration it offers and we can see the benefits it brings to the customer on a daily basis. We wish them good luck!”
About Streamhub – Streamhub is the publically facing name of the independently-owned Five Cool Ltd. with offices in both the UK and Japan. Five Cool Ltd. was founded in 2009 by Aki Tsuchiya and Nick ten Cate during a time when the Internet was radically altering TV viewing consumption habits. A growing proportion of audiences were starting to watch live, time delayed and on-demand content through the Internet via various connected devices. At the same time, broadcasters were and still are looking for new methods to monitor market and monetise these changing viewing trends. StreamHub is designed to meet this need by delivering intelligence for broadcasters to unlock new revenue and increase competitiveness. www.streamhub.co.uk
